It seems like the various sneaker companies all have entries out for that comfortable, low cost casual runner. The most obvious is the Nike Roshe, but today we’re looking at the Adidas ZX Flux in red and black.
This is a straightforward and simple shoe that became wildly popular until Adidas started making tons and tons of colorways. The shoe is apparently based off of the old ZX 8000 line.
The trick with the ZX Flux is figuring out what look you want with the shoe and going for those types of color schemes. I personally prefer the straightforward 1 or 2 color pairs over the crazy print pairs on this shoe. I’m feeling the red colorway because it’s a clean and simple look, and that’s why I would be looking at ZX Flux to begin with. If I want a fancier shoe in this category, I’d probably go after some Roshe NM or a Tubular weave instead.
How Are The Materials?
The construction is pretty simple on this pair with a mesh upper and plasticky rubber overlays, although other pairs of Flux have gone with different material combinations.
How Do They Fit?
Although the materials used are simple, the Adidas ZX Flux in Red and Black is well constructed and very comfortable. At no point do I feel like the mesh is going to rip. I went true to size, I think I may have been able to size down on this pair but then again it might look a little weird, so my recommendation is to stick to your true shoe size to be on the safe side.
